SpLD Webinar

Overview

The SpLD Service parental webinars are free online sessions to equip parents and guardians with information, knowledge and practical strategies for supporting children with dyslexia. Topics cover understanding dyslexia, fostering positive approaches, making reading engaging, organisation skills and are delivered via Microsoft Teams for approximately one to two hours per session.




What you'll get

Parents and legal guardians receive actionable tools and tips to help their child at home, such as building confidence, improving literacy through fun activities and creating supportive routines. These webinars empower families to complement school interventions, with series typically spanning multiple sessions on related themes.


 


Eligibility

Open to all parents and guardians of children with suspected or diagnosed dyslexia, across ages from early primary years through secondary school. 

 


 


How to apply

Fill in the form once notified by the school.

Timeline

  • Parents are notified by schools after a circular is issued by SpLD Service through the Department

  • Registration is done through a formal online form with the necessary information.

  • Link is sent by SpLD Service to all registered applicants.

  • Parents attend live sessions on MS Teams.
