The Therapy Refund Scheme provides financial support to parents and legal guardians of children with disabilities by reimbursing the cost of eligible therapy sessions. Families may claim up to €750 per child each year for therapy provided by warranted or licensed therapists.
The scheme is available for children who hold a valid EU Disability Card issued by Aġenzija Sapport and helps reduce the cost of therapies that support children's health, development and wellbeing.
An EU Disability Card (issued by Agenzija Sapport) and a refund of maximum 750 euro per year to cover expenses incurred for therapy sessions provided by a warranted or licensed therapist for disabled children.
You may apply if you are the parent or legal guardian of a child who:
is under 16 years of age;
holds a valid EU Disability Card issued by Aġenzija Sapport; and
has attended eligible therapy sessions provided by a warranted or licensed therapist.
Applications must be supported by the required documentation and receipts for eligible therapy expenses.
Fill in the application form and send it with a copy of the fiscal invoice or receipt provided by the therapist to CRPD.

In the case that parents have separated or paid for the therapy jointly, two application forms should be submitted and the refund of up to €750 will be split between the applicants in proportion to the costs paid.
Cheques are issued every quarter. CRPD requests the funds for all the applications that are received and then the cheques are put in the post when the Ministry send the funds to cover the amounts payable.
If someone applies in July the payment would be made in October as the cheque would fall into Q3 which ends at the end of September. It could go out earlier if[RG1] CRPD receives the funds promptly.
