The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) is Malta's primary vocational and technical higher education institution, offering over 200 courses ranging from introductory to doctoral level across six institutes. MCAST programmes span arts, sciences, engineering, ICT, business, and community services, and are aligned with the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF). Courses are available full-time and part-time, and MCAST holds self-accrediting status awarded by the Malta National Commission for Higher and Further Education. The main campus is in Paola, with additional campuses in Mosta (Creative Arts), Gozo (Għajnsielem), and Qormi (Applied Sciences). Applications for the 2026/27 academic year are managed through the online Classter portal using a valid eID.
A place on a nationally and internationally recognised vocational or technical course at MCAST, aligned to the European Qualifications Framework. Full-time students benefit from access to industry-linked training, career guidance, and the option to progress from introductory to degree level within the same institution. MCAST courses are open to EU and non-EU students aged 16 and over. Entry requirements vary by course and level but typically include relevant SEC or MATSEC results, or equivalent qualifications. Students who do not yet meet entry requirements may apply under the Maturity Clause if submitted by 14 August 2026 at 14:00.
