Grant Payable to Gozitan Resident Students Following Full-Time Courses in Malta

Overview

The Gozo Student Subsidy is a monthly financial grant offered by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning to students who are resident in Gozo and following full-time courses in Malta. The grant is designed to offset the additional costs of commuting or relocating to Malta for study purposes. It is paid monthly from October to June each academic year, totalling €2,520 per academic year. Applications must be submitted at the beginning of each academic year and are managed through the MyGozo platform. The grant is available for studies at the University of Malta, MCAST, the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS), courses under the Malta Government Undergraduate Scheme, and private institutions offering full-time higher education in Malta.

What you'll get

A monthly subsidy of €280, paid from October to June (9 months), totalling €2,520 per academic year. Payments are made directly to the student's bank account via IBAN. The subsidy is renewed annually — students must reapply at the start of each academic year.
