Children’s Art Expo: Young Artists, Big Impact

Overview

The “Young Artists, Big Impact” Art Expo, organised by the Sustainable Development Directorate within the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness, invites children to create artwork inspired by sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Selected works will be displayed in a national exhibition.

What you'll get

This initiative gives children the opportunity to have their artwork featured in a national exhibition, while encouraging creativity and helping them understand the importance of sustainability. Both individual and class projects can be recognised.

Eligibility

The expo is open to children attending Year 4 to Year 8 who are living in Malta or Gozo. Submissions must be made on the childs behalf by a parent, guardian, or teacher, and each child may submit one entry, or one entry per class for group projects.

How to apply

Children are invited to create artwork based on sustainability, using formats such as drawings, sculptures, writing, photos, or short videos. Physical artworks must be delivered to the Sustainable Development Directorate offices in Santa Venera, while digital submissions can be sent by email([email protected]). All entries must include the childs details and contact information of the parent, guardian, or teacher, and must be submitted by 29 May 2026 at 3:00 PM.
