FES Childcare Service

Overview

The Foundation for Educational Services operates 13 childcare centres in Malta and 1 in Gozo. Childcare centres provide care to babies and toddlers aged between three months and three years. All FES-run childcare centres are registered with the Department of Quality Standards in Education and follow the National Standards for Child Day Care Facilities (2021). Operational hours vary between 7:30am and 4pm, and 6am to 6pm, according to the centre’s demand. The hours of each individual centre can be accessed at  https://fes.gov.mt/childcare-centres/

Upon submission, parents have to pay a registration fee of €25 and will be immediately put on the waiting list. Once the is placement and this is confirmed by the parent, a second payment of €150 is required to block the placement. If this payment is not completed within 3 working days, the application will be returned to the waiting list. The second payment is refundable if the child attends for at least 3 months. Refund will be affected following the termination of service.

What you'll get

All children are offered with a personalised service of quality care. The Childcare Educators work closely with each child to provide diverse learning opportunities, with a strong focus on individual interests and social interaction with peers. The centres are continuously striving to create a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing environment, that stimulates the child’s curiosity for exploration. Our Childcare Educators collaborate closely with parents to reinforce each child's learning achievements and support the developmental milestones reached while in our care.
