Job Coaching Services

Overview

The Job Coaching service at the Lino Spiteri Foundation is designed to support individuals with disabilities throughout their employment journey. This includes both pre-employment preparation and on-the-job support. The ultimate aim is to ensure a smooth transition into employment and long-term job retention through structured, person-centred support.

What you'll get

Clients using the Job Coaching service will receive comprehensive support both before and after securing employment. Before employment, individuals are guided through the preparation process, including building a CV, taking part in mock interviews, and attending tailored one-to-one sessions that mainly focus on job readiness, confidence-building, and soft skills development. These sessions are adapted to the individual's needs and abilities to ensure they are well-prepared for the workplace.

Once employed, the Job Coach provides on-site support to help the individual settle into their role. This includes hands-on assistance with learning job tasks, understanding workplace routines, and adapting to the company environment. The Job Coach also supports the individual in developing communication skills, fostering relationships with colleagues, and managing any challenges that arise. As the individual’s confidence and competence increase, the support is gradually reduced, with the goal of achieving full independence at the workplace. This service is person-centred, respectful, and empowering, aiming to ensure long-term success and meaningful inclusion in the labour market.
