This page (together with the documents referred to on it) provides you with the terms and conditions on how you may make use of the My Child portal. Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before starting to use the My Child portal. By using the portal, you stipulate that you accept and agree to abide by these terms and conditions of use. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions of use, kindly do not use the My Child portal.

 ACCESSING THE My Child portal

 Temporary access to the My Child portal is allowed, and we have the right to change or remove any information or services we offer on the portal at any time (see below).

 We shall make every effort to guarantee that the portal is accessible around-the-clock. However, we shall not be held responsible if the My Child portal is inaccessible for any reason, either temporarily or permanently.

You must not do anything listed in the "Prohibited Uses" section of these terms and conditions when using the My Child portal.

You are responsible for making all the arrangements required to gain access to the My Child portal. It is also your responsibility to make sure that everyone who uses your internet connection to access the My Child portal understands and abides by these terms and conditions.

 These terms and conditions regulate the access to information posted on the My Child portal

PROHIBITED USES

 You may use the My Child portal only for lawful purposes. You may not use the My Child portal:

In any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation
In any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect
In any way which may infringe our rights or the rights of third parties
To obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to the My Child portal
To alter, deface or interfere with the My Child portal in any way

·         Attempt to use hacking, password "mining," or any other illegal method to obtain unauthorized access to any part or feature of the services, any other systems or networks linked to the services, any Government of Malta server, or any of the services provided on or through the My Child portal.

·         To examine, scan, or test the My Child portal's vulnerabilities, including those of its services or any network linked to it, or to compromise the security or authentication protocols on the My Child portal, including those of its services or any network linked to it.

·         to use the My Child portal or any service or information made available or offered by the My Child portal in any way that aims to reveal any information, including but not limited to personal identification or information, other than your own information, as permitted by the My Child portal or any service provided through the My Child portal. To reverse look-up, trace, or attempt to trace the source of any information on any other user of the My Child portal, visitor, or customer of the Government of Malta, including any service account that is not yours;

You also agree:

Not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the My Child portal in contravention of the provisions of these terms and conditions.

Not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt:

(i)   any part of the My Child portal;
(ii)  any equipment or network on which the My Child portal is stored;
(iii) any software used in the provision of the My Child portal; or
(iv) any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

To access, acquire, copy, or monitor any portion of the services or content offered through this My Child portal, or to reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the services or any content in any way, or to attempt to obtain any materials, documents, or information through any means not intentionally made available through the My Child portal, you must refrain from using any "page-scrape," "robot," "spider," or other automatic device, program, algorithm, methodology, or any similar or equivalent manual process. We reserve the right to bar any such activity.

One must refrain from taking any activity that would place an unreasonably or disproportionately high burden on the Government of Malta's systems or networks, the My Child portal's infrastructure, or any systems or networks that are connected to it.

No equipment, program, or procedure should be used to disrupt or attempt to disrupt the My Child portal's proper operation, including the services, or any transactions made with other users or entities through the My Child portal, including the services.

LINKS TO THIS MY CHILD PORTAL

You can link to the My Child portal as long as you do it fairly, legally, and without harming or abusing our reputation. However, you can't connect in a way that implies any kind of affiliation, endorsement, or permission on our side where none exists. Without prior warning, we retain the right to revoke linking authorization. The My Child portal must not be framed on any other site. 

 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All intellectual property rights in the content published on the My Child portal belong to us or are licensed to us. These works are safeguarded by international copyright treaties and legislation. These rights are all reserved.

You can print copies of any page or pages from the My Child portal and download excerpts for your own use. You can also share content on the My Child portal with other people in your organization.

You are not permitted to make any changes to the paper or digital versions of any items you have downloaded or printed off. You are not permitted to use any images, photos, videos, or audio clips apart from the text that goes with them.

Your right to use the My Child portal will be immediately terminated if you print off, copy, or download any portion of it in violation of these terms and conditions of use. You will also be required, at our discretion, to return or destroy any copies of the materials you have created.

The My Child portal's commentary and other content are not meant to be taken as advice that should be followed. Therefore, we disclaim all duty and responsibility for any reliance that visitors to the My Child site or anyone else who may be informed of any of its contents may place on such items.

CHANGES TO THE MY CHILD PORTAL

The material of the My Child portal is subject to change at any time, however we strive to update it frequently. The My Child portal may be closed permanently, or access may be suspended if necessary. The information on the My Child portal could be out-of-date at any point, and we are not obligated to update it.
